So don’t make claims about the usefulness of your research! Do not criticize other people’s research are not being useful enough! What you can claim is that you are working in an area which is useful.

    Hi I am an aspiring Ph.d, about to do my MS soon and possibly do Ph.D also. It is very nice to know what real Ph.D guys are doing. Can u also share some thoughts on the Ph.D, what is ur area of specialisation

    Hmm .. area of specialization – on a wider sense, its computer networks. But if I get into details, it goes to queueing theory.
